30/365 Primes Concerto Night

I took my camera to my daughters Murray High School Concerto Night. I shot with the 200mm lens on my K3 crop sensor to extend the reach of the lens.

Camera: Pentax K3

Lens: SMC Pentax 200 mm f/2.5 K series  (EFL 300mm on this body)

Karina Velarde:

ISO 800 200mm f/2.5 1/125th Hand held.

Perhaps I should have gone to ISO 1600 and doubled the shutter sheed. I'm pretty sure I got these in focus but the images are suffering from motion blur (camera and subject movement)

Shalese Evertson:

ISO 800 2000mm f/2.5 1/125th Hand held.

I like the colors and the over all look. I failed to follow the rule about shutter speed and focal length. Shutter = or greater than the focal length (effective or actual)  I had an effective focal length of 300 mm.

Each of these girls study with the same teacher my boys had and David too was the Concert Master.

Camera: Pentax K1

Lens: smc Pentax-FA 77mm f/1.8 Limited

Here are snap shots in the hallway of the two girls and their teacher Ruth Godfrey.

Kareena and Ruth:

ISO 800, 77mm, f/2.8 1/15th Hand Held

Shalese and Ruth:

ISO 800, 77mm, f/2.8, 1/10th

School halway light! I need to let loose with the amazing ISO capability of this camera!
