Low light + Model=cool stuff. This post will have close crops of detail.
Camera: Pentax K1
ISO 100, 77mm, f/7.1, 1/125th Hand held
What I like about this profile is the detail hidden in the shadows. Amber came to the studio to relax and have some "me time" away from her kids. My friend John Biggler came along for the shoot as well. Lit with a 30" soft box feathered away from the model.
What follows are two crops. The 2nd crop is about 12% or less of the original image.
Keep in mind that even though this is shot at f/7.1 I'm pretty close to her and focusing nearly as close as the lens will focus so the depth of field is still pretty small. But check out those eyelashes! Detail in the shadows!
This following image and crop is of the neckline:
ISO 200, 77mm, f/5.6, 1/125th Hand held.
But check out this 10% crop! I was at minumum focusing distance.
This lens is making me excited. I did notice some lens flare early on when I had a soft box aimed toward the camera so I had to flag the light. But really it wasn't too bad.
