So I had an evening client who rescheduled so my planned shoot for tonight fell through. But I have been wanting to play with the high ISO features of the Pentax K1. The piano got tuned earlier today so it got to be my subject. The only light is coming from the dining room.
Camera: Pentax K1
Lens: Rokinon 14mm FE14M
ISO 204800, 14mm, f/2.8, 1/60th Hand held.
Yes. 204,800 ISO I wouldn't want to shoot at 204,800 but if there was no other way to get the shot, you could still get the shot. The above image has no adjustments. SOOC. I did put the image through DFine 2 and the noise is much reduced but I think the image feels soft. But here it is:Same as above but with standard automatic profile in DFine2.
ISO 102400, 14mm, f/2.8, 1/30th Hand Held.
Grain is better here but....
ISO 51200, 14mm, f/2.8, 1/15th Hand held
The images at 102400 and 51200 ISO are unedited SOOC images. I could see working with the grain at 51200 ISO. And it is much smoother than other cameras I've owned at 1600 ISO. So, sorry...no amazing photos today.
