55/365* Primes 77 and a Model Wide Open

Intro

* I set my camera up and placed it on the couch so I could grab it on the way out the door to have our family portraits done. I figured I could get some beautiful scenery while Jeremy shot my wife and kids.  I left it on the couch so no pics today. :(  But 3 days ago I photographed a model and I posted shots with the 31 Limited. So I thought I would fill in the gap today with the same session but images from the 77mm Limited.

Background and set up.

I posted a link to a review of the Pentax 77mm f/1.8 Limited a week or so ago. That review said the 77 Limited was unusable at f/1.8.  So I shot at f/1.8.  Lets see what you think. (please comment)

Over cast skies. It rained the whole day and just quit minutes before my model arrived.

Camera: Pentax K1

Lens: smc Pentax-FA 77mm f/1.8 Limited

ISO 400  77mm  f/1.8  1/1000th Hand held.

I you look at the eye lashes you see there is a good deal of crispness. The bokeh is fabulous and even with crazy shallow dof her whole face i

s acceptable sharp. The ony adjustments to this image is a gentle tone curve.

Detail:

ISO 1600  77mm  f/1.8  1/1600th Hand held.

Nope, I didn't need that much ISO! Oh Well.

ISO 1600  77mm  f/1.8  1/2000th

I did not bring lights with me so the sky is over exposed but the eyes are clear and I am happy with the image.

Summary

All three shots at f/1.8 and plenty others to. Does this seem "unusable" to you? Use the comments to ttell me what you think.
